    Group Chief Information & Technology Officer · Group Head: Centre of Excellence

    Group Exco member reporting to the COO. Defining and executing the enterprise-wide digital and business transformation agenda for a global industrial business.

    • Established Digital & Innovation Centre of Excellence with operating framework and capability model
    • Led the global ERP & process transformation: design, regional localisation (Americas) and first-wave go-live
    • Built Office of the CDO, Global ERP Competence Centre, Analytics & Data Science, AI capability and governance
    • Strengthened global infrastructure, cybersecurity, planning, governance and architecture
    • Rationalised vendor ecosystem, reducing TCO and building a strategic partner network

    Member of the Vedanta Zinc International Executive Committee. Led transformation projects, the Centre of Excellence and the Digital & Information function.

    • Directed transformation project portfolio in the COO office, reporting to the CFO and COO
    • Onboarded strategic business partner for Gamsberg Mining production ramp-up
    • Led ESG programmes: water, carbon & energy, biodiversity, communities, governance
    • Delivered ZAR 1bn property and urban services portfolio across residential, retail, medical and education
    • Led CDO, CIO, CISO and Enterprise Applications functions across Vedanta Zinc International

    • Owned global IM strategy process and enterprise architecture
    • Led compliance: King III & IV, SOX, global legal and regulatory requirements
    • Directed information and cyber security programme
    • Managed global IM investment, budget and portfolio
    • Drove process maturity and IT process optimisation across all regions

    Reporting to the Group CIO and Business Transformation Programme Leader. Led ERP and Human Resources programmes within the Business Transformation portfolio.

    • Delivered SAP ECC6, CRM, SRM, BCM and BPC implementations
    • Owned ERP point solutions integration (Qmastor, Pivot)
    • Established programme assurance, integration and quality management

    Led the first global template-based SAP ERP implementation in Anglo American, managing teams of 7 to 85 across People, Process and Technology.

    • Established global process standardisation and system controls
